Kent Police have renewed an appeal for information following a serious collision in Herne Bay on 28th January which has now resulted in a death.

The crash occurred at 10:07am that Sunday morning when a car collided with a cyclist. The cyclist, a local man in his 70’s, was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries and subsequently died yesterday (Friday 9th February). 

The car, a blue Hyundai i30, and the cyclist were travelling towards Eddington roundabout on the A2990 Old Thanet Way when the collision happened. 

The driver of the Hyundai, a 43-year-old man from Herne Bay, was arrested in connection with the incident and subsequently released under investigation.
