Where do i begin...............I became interested in radio at a young age as i was brought up with it by my mum. Started secondary school and joined the school radio station which was when i had my first real taster of what broadcasting was really like. I soon found my radio feet and Joe '90' was born.
Joe '90' came about because when i was younger (all those years ago!) i had the same haircut as the boy wonder and believe it or not the same spec's and hair style/colour (I've never forgiven my mum for that). An after school club worker started calling me it and it stuck, like mud i suppose!!!
I've also worked on some small RSL stations in the local area, when i was younger, gaining as much experience on radio as i could. I even meet BAM BAM the HIT MAN and James Heming when they started on INVICTA FM (great memories!!!!!!!). I then left Radio Cabin in 1999 for personal reasons, went to bed one night and woke in the morning to find i had a girlfriend, 2 children, mortgage and adult responsibilities. Deep joy!!!!!!!!
I live in Sturry with my long term partner Anita and my 2 beautiful daughters Leah and Katelyn. In my spare time i enjoy motorbike racing especially Speedway and your find me driving a huge bus for Stagecoach around Herne Bay, Canterbury and Whitstable, so if you see me give me a wave!!!!
Oh...........and i'm also a massive Status Quo fan too and proud. There's not many bands that are still around after 40 years are there? I like all types of music, so when you listen to my show, get it touch, tell me what your up to and i'll play you a tune and give you a mention.
Enjoy Radio Cabin because its your community radio station, and don't forget to check out my show, Herne Bay @ Nite, every Monday 10 - 1.
